I’d like to share with you my favorite travel app I use when traveling oversees.
A couple of the biggest challenges we confront when traveling to a different country are language and currency. The travel app I prefer to use for translating languages is iTranslate. This nifty app enables you to speak and write 90 different languages from around the world. The free version allows you to type in your question for the translation of your desired language; however, if you upgrade to the premium for $6.99, you can speak what you’d like translated. Another cool feature about this app is that you don’t necessarily need to connect to wifi. For certain languages, you can translate offline, saving yourself dollars in roaming charges.
Here’s a video to give you an example of how this travel app works:
One other favorite travel app I’d like to share is My Currency Converter Pro which you can purchase for $ .99 or if you don’t mind those pesky ads you can use the free version. My Currency Converter supports 150 different countries allowing you to find out how much your U.S. dollars is worth in other countries. It’s very simple to use! Tap to add your country – US, then tap the other side to add the country you’re trying to convert to and Voila… you have your new currency. You don’t have to worry about what the current exchange rate is as it does it all for you. Absolutely a great travel app to have available.
