Today’s post features one of my dearest friends, Jacqui Tavis. She loves to travel as much as I do; but Jacqui took it a step further by saving up several years to travel throughout Central America. Jacqui, her adventurous partner Jorge, and her beloved dog PJ, left the daily grind to travel for an entire year. I admire their audaciousness of traveling by trailer and hope to fully embrace their spirit one day.
Please make sure to visit her blog and follow along during their travels at www.JacquiTavis.com. She provides wonderful insight and photos on breathtaking places in Mexico. Furthermore, she is quite the photographer and leaves you wanting more to see and read.

Here’s an excerpt taken directly from her website:
Jorge, PJ and I are packing up our comfortable life for a road trip adventure through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. We want to get off the beaten path, and explore by bike and kayak as much as we can. We will be driving a Dodge 2500 and pulling a 28′ Tahoo Trailer that we will call home along the way. We plan to use this site to document our trip – our route, our experiences, our favorite destinations, our expenses, etc.
Currently, I’m planning a trip to Costa Rica and the goal is to meet up with them end of December. We’re still in trying to work it out, but fingers crossed all goes according to plan. In the meantime, check out this incredible video Jacqui put together of some of their travels in Mexico.
