Return to Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach

I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to Laguna Beach. Definitely more than 20 years. So a few weeks ago when I had the opportunity to revisit, it was like hooking up with an old friend. Well, I actually did hook up with my old friend Jacqui who took me and my daughter to Laguna. She now lives in Dana Point which is about a 10 minute drive to Laguna Beach.

Parking can be challenging in Laguna as it’s a popular beach destination in Southern California. Found a $5 ┬álot located near the Thousand Steps Beach by 9th and Pacific Coast Highway. Not 100% convinced that climbing up/down 1,000 stairs was a great idea (don’t think it’s actually that many), it was worth the hike.

The view is amazing and a lot of people out enjoying the great weather!

After soaking in the view and rays, we mustered up the energy to head back up the stairs. Nearby is a stop to catch the free trolley that takes you throughout Laguna Beach. We got off in the heart of the town to grab a bite to eat. Highly recommend Tortilla Republic which offers great ambience, good food, and rockin’ margaritas!

Afterward, we headed to the main beach for a few photo ops and a little fun.

Fun in Laguna Beach

Old friends at Laguna BeachDidn’t have the opportunity to visit many of the unique boutiques which was probably good since I’m a challenged window shopper. But I will be back!

This time it won’t be another 20+ years.
